This quantitative study used a nonrandomised control group pretest-posttest experimental design, 32 students with moderate to high stress levels were divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using the academic stress scale (α = 0.891) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) validity assessment sheets for the training module and scale. Mann-Whitney U analysis showed a significant difference in academic stress reduction between the experimental and control groups (z = -2.218, p < 0.05). Wilcoxon T analysis also showed a significant reduction in stress in the experimental group before and after the training (z = -2.143, p < 0.05). Qualitative data from subjects' sharing, observations, worksheets, and evaluations during the training supported these findings, showing an improvement in emotion regulation skills. The study concluded that emotion regulation training is effective in reducing students' academic stress. The programme is recommended as an intervention strategy to support students' academic achievement and mental health.
2025-06-25T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://ejurnal.setiabudi.ac.id/ojs/index.php/psikohumanika/article/view/2397 EKSPLORASI DOOMSCROLLING & SUBJECTIVEWELL-BEING PADA DEWASA AWAL PENGGUNA AKTIF MEDIA SOSIAL 2025-07-02T07:56:18+00:00 Sofiyyatul ‘Ida Fitria sofiyyatulida87@gmail.com Tira Khoirunnisa tirakhoirunnisai@gmail.com Trisna Sayekti Wijayanti trysnasw3113@gmai.com Zahro Nurul Atikoh zahroatikoh@gmail.com Syaifuddin Nawawi syfudnnww.03@gmail.com Faruq Faruq faruqf4@gmail.com
This study aims to explore how emerging adults make sense of doomscrolling behavior, its implications for their subjective well-being, and the coping strategies they employ. The focus of the research is on the subjective experiences of active social media users in engaging with doomscrolling and how they respond to its psychological impact. This qualitative study adopts a phenomenological approach, involving five participants who are active social media users (usage >4 hours/day) and have accounts across multiple platforms. Participants were selected using purposive sampling, and data were collected through semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. The findings reveal that doomscrolling is experienced as a response to curiosity, the need to stay socially connected, and the desire to obtain up-to-date information. While some participants perceived benefits such as increased awareness, negative consequences, including heightened anxiety, reduced positive emotions, and decreased productivity, were more prominent. Participants' subjective well-being was reflected in their affective experiences and life satisfaction while engaging in doomscrolling. Coping strategies included time management, limiting social media access, and seeking social support. These findings offer an in-depth understanding of doomscrolling dynamics within the Indonesian digital culture and provide a foundation for developing relevant psychological interventions.
2025-06-25T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://ejurnal.setiabudi.ac.id/ojs/index.php/psikohumanika/article/view/2667 HARDINESS DAN STRES AKADEMIK PADA SANTRI PENGHAFAL AL-QUR'AN DI PONDOK PESANTREN 2025-06-25T07:44:12+00:00 Alifah Athiyaturrofi 19200350K@mhs.setiabudi.ac.id Sujoko Sujoko sujoko85@setiabudi.ac.id Patria Mukti patria_mukti@setiabudi.ac.id
One of the problems frequently faced by students memorizing the Qur'an is stress, as they must balance their obligations at school with their responsibilities at the pesantren (Islamic boarding school). Stress in academic contexts is commonly referred to as academic stress. All students have the ability to face and cope with this academic stress, which is often known as hardiness. This study aims to determine whether there is a negative relationship between hardiness and academic stress among students memorizing the Qur'an at the Tahfidzhul Qur’an Griya Qur'an 3 Islamic Boarding School in Klaten. The hypothesis is that hardiness has a negative relationship with academic stress in students memorizing the Qur'an. This research employs a quantitative method, and sampling was conducted using total sampling techniques. The subjects of this study consisted of 119 students memorizing the Qur'an, aged between 15 and 18 years. The data analysis method used is the Pearson product-moment correlation, assisted by SPSS 25.0 for Windows. The analysis results show a correlation coefficient of rxy = 0.183 with p = 0.047 (p < 0.05). This indicates a positive relationship between hardiness and academic stress, thus the hypothesis proposed in this study is rejected.
2025-06-25T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://ejurnal.setiabudi.ac.id/ojs/index.php/psikohumanika/article/view/2451 HUBUNGAN PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK DAN EFIKASI DIRI DENGAN KETIDAKJUJURAN AKADEMIK PADA MAHASISWA DI SURABAYA 2025-06-25T07:45:09+00:00 Difa Prayustiana difapray@gmail.com Andik Matulessy andikmatulesy@untag-sby.ac.id Suhadianto Suhadianto suhadianto@untag-sby.ac.id
Universities are places where formal education can be found. Undergraduate students are the initial degree in taking education in college are generally aged 18-25 years, which means that in the review of developmental psychology students are in the emerging adulthood phase (Listyanti, 2012). Facts in the field found that students tend to commit dishonesty or cheating which is then called academic dishonesty (Fitriana & Baridwan, 2012). This study was conducted to determine the relationship between Academic Procrastination and Self-Efficacy with Academic Dishonesty in college students in Surabaya. This study used a correlational quantitative method. The sample in the study was 347 participants with the criteria of active students in Surabaya aged 18-25 years. The sampling technique used accidental sampling. Data analysis techniques using multiple regression analysis (R value = 0.462). Measurement of academic dishonesty data using a scale proposed by Lambert, academic procrastination using the Tuckman Procrastination Scale adapted by Suhadianto, measurement of self-efficacy data using Bandura's scale adapted by Kurniawan. The results show that there is a relationship between academic procrastination and self-efficacy with academic dishonesty (F value = 46.573 with a significance of 0.000). Partial test results show a significant positive relationship between academic procrastination and academic dishonesty (β value = 0.205). Then the self-efficacy variable with academic dishonesty has a positive relationship (β value = 0.255). Based on the results of the study, the author hopes that the subjects are able to minimize academic dishonesty behavior by managing their time also being confident in their own abilities
2025-06-25T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://ejurnal.setiabudi.ac.id/ojs/index.php/psikohumanika/article/view/2570 PERBEDAAN KEPUASAN PERNIKAHAN PADA PASANGAN BEDA AGAMA DAN SEAGAMA 2025-07-02T06:58:45+00:00 Clara Vania Prahastuti ofc.claravania@gmail.com Ratna Endang Y Kusmiati ofc.claravania@gmail.com
Marital satisfaction in Indonesia is closely related to religiosity and religious values.
