Marigold leaves (<em>Tagetes erecta</em> L.) contain compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, triterpenoids and alkaloids. The purpose of this study is to determine the activity of Marigold leaf extract on burn healing, determine the most effective concentration, and determine the activity of the extract in increasing the number of fibroblasts. The test was divided into 5 groups: negative control (vaseline flavum), positive control (Mebo® ointment), and 3 variations in extract concentration, namely 1.5%; 2.5% and 5%. Observation of histopathological preparations using a microscope on the skin of rabbits. Statistical analysis was carried out on the results of the data obtained using ANOVA followed by the Post Hoc Test. One plant traditionally used to treat burns is <em>Chromolaena odorata</em>&nbsp;(kopasanda). Kopasanda leaves are known for their various benefits, including anti-inflammatory properties and their ability to support wound healing. This study aims to evaluate ointments containing kopasanda leaf extract formulated at three concentrations: 10%, 15%, and 20%. The objectives of the study are to determine whether ointments with concentrations of 10%, 15%, and 20% meet good physical quality standards and to test their effectiveness in accelerating burn wound healing in male white rabbits.</p> <p>The extraction of kopasanda leaves was carried out using the maceration method with 96% ethanol, and the ointment was formulated using a polyethylene glycol hase. The test animals, male white rabhits, were inflicted with burns on their back areas, and the healing process was observed from the first day to the 21st day. Data analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA and the Least Significant Difference test.</p> <p>The results showed that the kopasanda leaf extract ointment met good physical quality standards, and the 20% concentration was the most effective in accelerating the healing second-degree burns. Extracts Against Staphylococcus aureus Bacteria 2025-10-14T13:56:06+00:00 Lina Rosydha Rohmawati [email protected] Ismi Rahmawati [email protected] Endang Sri Rejeki [email protected] <p>Cherry leaves (<em>Muntingia calabura</em>&nbsp;L.) and Moringa leaves (<em>Moringa oleifera</em>&nbsp;L.) contain compounds that have antibacterial properties, including flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and alkaloids. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of a combination of cherry&nbsp;and moringa leaf extracts in inhibiting the growth of <em>Staphylococcus aureus</em>. The method used in this study was dilution &nbsp;and disc&nbsp;diffusion method. The most effective combinations were then subjected to paper tape tests to determine the pattern of synergistic, additive, or antagonistic combinations. Data results were analyzed with SPSS test. The study showed that cherry&nbsp;leaf extract had an MIC value of 10% and moringa leaf had an MIC of 5%. In the dilution test, the most effective inhibition diameter was the combination (1:2) with a diameter of 19.06 ± 0.37. This study aims to determine the physical quality, stability of avocado leaf extract serum preparations with carbopol variations, and to determine whether avocado leaf extract serum preparations have antioxidant activity. This study was used 5 formulations, namely negative control, positive control, avocado leaf ethanol extract concentration of 10% with carbopol concentration variations of 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5%. The method was used the DPPH method using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Evaluation of the physical properties of the preparation consisted of organoleptic, homogeneity, viscosity, pH, spreadability, and stability tests. Curcumin, the main active compound in turmeric, is known to be unstable when exposed to light and environmental factors. This study aimed to determine the curcumin content in turmeric powder and evaluate the effect of storage conditions and light exposure on its stability. Analysis was conducted using UV-Vis spectrophotometry on samples stored under two conditions: exposed to light and protected from light. The initial curcumin content was 3.42%, which decreased by 1% in the light-exposed samples, while the content remained stable in samples protected from light. These findings indicate that storage conditions, particularly light exposure, significantly affect curcumin stability.
