On the other hand, there are demands for cost efficiency and emission reduction. The Java-Bali system, which is a national burden, faces the need for more efficient management of coal-fired power plants, especially when the available capacity must meet existing demand. An approach that can be applied is the allocation of production between PLTU operators based on coal consumption efficiency without adding coal capacity. This study aims to minimize coal consumption at the Java-Bali PLTU by developing an optimization model. Energy production and coal consumption at Indonesia Power and Nusantara Power operators are processed into specific coal consumption (specific fuel consumption/SFC). Indonesia Power's SFC is 613.70 tons/GWh and Nusantara Power's is 571.54 tons/GWh. The model uses linear programming with decision variables for energy allocation E1 and E2, an objective function to minimize Z, energy fulfillment constraints, and capacity limits. This study uses comparisons with D+5% and D+10% scenarios to see if there are any changes in energy use.. The results show that the optimization prioritizes Nusantara Power with energy production optimization at a demand of 7000 GWh with coal consumption of 41752584 tons. The optimization of the allocation of Indonesia Power operators is 41,384.82 GWh and Nusantara Power is 28,615.18. This model can be used as an initial tool for coal-fired power plants to optimize fuel efficiency and analyze operator scenarios. XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of electronic devices such as smartphones, household appliances, and medical equipment. All finished products are stored in the main warehouse of the Logistics Department, which has a total area of 704.76 m². However, the current warehouse layout has not been systematically designed, leading to several operational problems. These issues include product accumulation, limited accessibility to certain items, disruption of internal transportation flow, and a high risk of product damage due to poorly organized storage paths. Random placement of goods without considering product characteristics, transfer volumes, and inter-activity relationships further exacerbates warehouse inefficiency. This study aims to propose a warehouse layout redesign using the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) approach and the BLOCPLAN method. ARC is employed to map the proximity relationships between areas based on activity importance, while BLOCPLAN is applied to generate several efficient and realistic spatial layout alternatives. The analysis resulted in five alternative layouts with varying efficiency scores, with the best alternative achieving a score of 0.75. The proposed layout is considered more optimal in supporting material flow, accelerating internal distribution processes, and improving overall warehouse space utilization. The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System has become a crucial strategy widely adopted for this purpose, as it provides a systematic framework to control processes, reduce variation, and enhance customer trust. In practice, however, its implementation often stops at the stage of certification formality without an in-depth evaluation of its effectiveness, potentially creating a gap between system documentation and actual practice. This study aims to assess the compliance level of ISO 9001:2015 implementation and to trace the root causes of nonconformities within critical clauses, employing a descriptive-evaluative case study design with a mixed methods approach. Gap Analysis was applied to measure the compliance level across clauses 4 through 10, while the 5 Whys method was used to analyze the root causes of nonconformities in the lowest-scoring clause. The findings reveal that the overall compliance level reached an average of 94.04%, indicating that the quality management system has been effectively maintained. Nevertheless, the support clause (Clause 7) was identified as the critical clause with the lowest score of 88.60%, particularly regarding human resource competency and awareness. Root cause analysis revealed that the main constraint lies not in the absence of a training program, but in the lack of a structured training curriculum. Accordingly, this study recommends developing a competency-based training curriculum accompanied by multilevel evaluation as a practical improvement measure for the company. Traditional production practices continue to generate waste in the form of time, labor, and raw materials, which reduces overall production effectiveness. This study aims to develop an operational process improvement model that enhances production effectiveness while maintaining consistent product quality. The research was conducted over a three-month period and involved ten cookie-producing SMEs selected through purposive sampling based on business licensing status and year-round production consistency. The study adopted an integrated approach by combining the Seven Waste method, 5S principles, and Business Process Improvement (BPI). The Seven Waste analysis identified several forms of waste, including waiting, unnecessary motion, excess inventory, defects, overprocessing, overproduction, and inefficient transportation. The implementation of 5S generated recommendations for facility layout improvement, procedure standardization, and visual management to eliminate non-value-added activities. Furthermore, the BPI analysis mapped 31 process activities and identified the baking process and shipping administration as the most critical operational stages. The proposed improvements, including interleaved scheduling, document standardization, and the delegation of administrative responsibilities, reduced operational waste, shortened complaint investigation time from approximately one day to about 30 minutes, and improved operational productivity. In addition, the implementation of interleaved scheduling eliminated oven idle time and reduced the production cycle time from 8 hours per batch.
