PERAN CORPORATE CULTURE PADA PROACTIVE WORK BEHAVIOR DENGAN MEDIASI ORGANIZATINAL COMMITMENT
Abstract
The availability of competent healthcare personnel is essential to support hospital accreditation instruments, and proactive work behavior plays an important role in maintaining and improving service standards. This study aims to examine the relationship between corporate culture, consisting of involvement, consistency, adaptability, and mission and proactive work behavior through organizational commitment as a mediating variable. This quantitative survey research was conducted by distributing online questionnaires to 147 employees of Hospital X in Jakarta, selected using purposive sampling. The instruments used in this study included the Denison Organizational Culture Survey (DOCS), the Proactive Behavior Scale, and the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 4.1.0.8. The results show that involvement, consistency, and adaptability demonstrate positive and significant relationships with proactive work behavior through organizational commitment, while the mission dimension does not show a significant relationship. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening corporate culture values to enhance employees’ organizational commitment and proactive behavior. Additionally, organizations need to provide a psychologically safe work environment to further encourage employees to engage in proactive work behavior.
