Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Industri dan Informasi (TEKINFO) is a scientific journal in the discipline of Industrial Engineering and Information Technology. TEKINFO aims to foster the engineering community by publishing papers with a strong methodological focus motivated by real problems that impact to engineering practice and research.
The journal is composed of seven focus issues (but not limited to):

  1. Ergonomics and Human Factors
  2. Design and Manufacturing
  3. Operations Research and Management
  4. Quality and Reliability Engineering
  5. Supply Chain and Logistics
  6. Decision Support Systems
  7. Information System Design

Publication Frequency

TEKINFO is published twice a year (biannually) in May and November.

Peer Review Process

The submitted manuscript is first assessed by an editor. The editor will evaluate whether the manuscript is appropriate for TEKINFO focus and scope and follow TEKINFO author guidelines. Editor will also check the manuscript similarity by using Crossref Similarity Check Powered by iThenticate. Those that meet the minimum criteria are passed on to experts for review process.
The manuscript then will be sent to an anonymous reviewer. The reviewer’s comments and suggestions will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting for taking final decision. Afterward, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author along with reviewer’s comments for necessary actions and responses.

Open Access Policy

All articles published by TEKINFO are made available worldwide under an open-access license. This means everyone has free and unlimited access to the full-text of all articles published in TEKINFO, and everyone is free to re-use the published material if proper citation of the original publication is given. Works/ articles in this journal are bound to Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/).

Plagiarism Screening

Starting 2019, to ensure that the published articles are free from plagiarism, TEKINFO started to use Crossref Similarity Check Powered by iThenticate in screening the plagiarism. The manuscripts which have a similarity score of more than 30% (Bibliography Excluded), tending not free from plagiarism or self-plagiarism, will immediately be rejected by TEKINFO. This policy will help TEKINFO to proceed the integrity of publication and ensure the originality.

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees:
Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors are not required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process
Processing Fee: 0.00 (IDR)
The review, editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript is no need fees.
Article Publication: 0.00 (IDR)
If the paper is accepted for publication, author will not be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee.
