To make the Katunfuge, two circles were cut from a piece of cotton cloth that had been impregnated with batik wax. The knitting thread was inserted into the middle part of the cotton disc and each end rope was tied to the handler. The centrifugal speed resulted from Katunfuge was greater than 2,000 rpm, meaning that it is 99% effective for separating blood components in 15 minutes with 14 times of pulling with hands. The hematocrit values of pregnant ewes (33.0 ± 4.1) were lower than those of non-pregnant ewes (38.5 ± 3.4%). This has proven that Katunfuge is highly potential to be used to assess the hematocrit of other animals. (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bogor Agricultural University)
Thus fifteen GDM-detected showed high nucleotide sequence homology with the Proteobacteria at phylum level, and Escherichia, Orchobacterium, Cronobacter, Shigella, Salmonella, Enterobacter, Klebsiella, Kosakonia, Vibrio dan Gamma-Proteobacterium at genus level compared to the healthy pregnant women which found by Firmicutes at phylum level and Ruminococcus, Clostridium, Clostridiales, Lachnospiraceae, Roseburia, Weisella, Eubacterium at genus level had a higher abundance in healthy pregnant women. In this result, we found also one of the fifteen healthy pregnant women showed differential abundance with enrichment of Prevotella species. Gut microbiota of GDM-diagnosed pregnant women has more varied composition, and dominated by the phylum Proteobacteria than in normal pregnant women (Midwifery Program, Polytechnic of Bau-Bau, Midwifery Program, Institute of Health Sciences of Mega Rezky, Midwifery Academy, Tahirah Al Baeti).
The research type is experimental; the sample was 16 samples with two treatments namely coloring which using Orange G and without Orange G. Flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, and tannins in bougainvillea leaves are thought to reduce total cholesterol levels. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of bougainvillea leaf ethanol extract (Bougainvillea spectabilis) to decrease the total cholesterol level of mice (Mus musculus) induced by high-fat diet for 21 days. This study true experimental using 25 male mice (Mus musculus) divided into 5 groups.. In the dose I, II, III treatment group were given bougainvillea leaf ethanol extract with doses of 40 mg/kgBW, 80 mg/kgBB and 160 mg/kgBB, negative controls were given CMC-Na and positive controls were given simvastatin. Giving is done orally for 14 days. The results of the study were analyzed using One-Way ANOVA analysis test and the results obtained p=0,000. Furthermore, the Post Hoc Tukey test was carried out, the results of which were not significantly different between positive controls and dose III. So, the effective dose of ethanol extract of bougenvillea leaves in decreasing total cholesterol levels in mice is dosis III (160 mg/kgBB) (Program Studi S1 Farmasi, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Cendekia Utama Kudus).
Stool samples were examined using the PCR method to detect the presence of DEC strains namely EAEC, ETEC, and EPEC and EHEC. Three out of fifteen (20%) samples were known to be positive for Diarrhoegenic E. coli (DEC). ETEC strains were found in 2 (0,13%) sample, each from the Batulicin Health Center and the Pagatan Health Center, while EPEC and EAEC strains were found in the same 1 (0,07%) sample from the Pagatan Health Center. EHEC strain was not detected in all samples. Diarrhogenic E. coli strains found in this study are EAEC, ETEC, and EPEC. However, it cannot be ascertained yet that the three strains are the cause of the diarrheal disease, it needs to be further to do comprehensive research. The community should be able to increase awareness of the importance of clean and healthy behavior, especially food and beverages consumption, so it can reduce the number of diarrhea cases. Sampling for this research is done by taking 10 sample sauce from siomai food that's all around campus in Surakarta. Coliform bacterial examination was performed at Biology Laboratory of UNS, Surakarta with the most probable number (MPN) test, Escherichia coli test and gram staining. From the test of Most Probable Number through test of presumption and confirmation of test sample showed positive result of Coliform, from the result of gram staining of bacteria found belonging to class of gram negative bacteria and from biochemical test result of bacteria found in samples including Enterobacter species and Escherichia coli .Test results obtained from all tests do not meet the requirements specified in SNI 01-3546-2004 about the maximum number of total plates while according to the Regulation of the Head of the Food and Drugs Agency of the Republic of Indonesia HK number. 00.06.1.52.401, the maximum limit of most probable number (MPN) coliform in tomato sauce is 100 coloni/g (APIKES Citra Medika of Surakarta).
The results obtained 5 types of mangroves on mangrove tracking stations, and 10 species at Menjangan Besar station. Species that dominate both in Menjangan Besar Island and in Tracking Mangrove are Rhizhopora mucronata, and Rhizhopora stylosa. Other species found in addition to the above two species are Rhizhoporaceriops tagal and Rhizhopora apiculata. The highest value index (INP) for pole level is found in Rhizophora stylosa species with an INP value of 300% in both sites. The pattern of species distribution in the Mangrove Tracking area is uniform (Morosita Dispersion Index 0-4), while in the area of Menjangan Besar Island is clustered (Morosita Dispersion Index 0-8). For the Community Similarity Index ranges from 0% -200% spread over each station at each level, thus it is said that each station at each level of the mangrove community has the same structure between station one with other stations (Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA University of Jakarta).
